Step 1 - Prep

For best practice, always check the care label for special washing instructions. Turn product inside out and place in a laundry bag to prevent holes.

Step 2 - Detergent

The right detergent makes a big difference. We recommend using a wool-specific detergent or other mild alternative.

CAUTION: Avoid bleach, fabric softener, stain removers, and dry cleaning.

Step 3 - How to wash wool first layers

Machine wash cold (max 30°C/85°F) using a wool setting. Do not over-fill the machine.

Step 4 - How to dry wool first layers

Pull the garment back into shape and lay flat to dry.

CAUTION: Avoid direct sunlight while drying. Do not tumble dry, iron, steam, or dry clean.

Tips

Avoid over-washing: First layers can often be aired and reused between washes.

For heavily soiled gear, soak in wool detergent before washing.
