How to wash leather gloves

Only wash when really needed.

For best practice, always check the care label for special washing instructions.

Cleaning gloves that contain leather is as easy as washing your hands - literally. Simply put your gloves on and wash with a touch of leather soap and lukewarm water. When finished, do not wring out your gloves but rather press your hands together to drain the water.

How to wash synthetic gloves

For best practice, always check the care label for special washing instructions.

Single-layer gloves that do not contain leather can be machine washed in cold water (30°C/85°F). Use a wool setting with no spin cycle.

If your gloves have a removable liner (3-in-1 gloves), remove the liner before washing for faster drying.

How to dry gloves

Dry flat, away from heaters and direct sunlight.

How to waterproof your gloves

Synthetic waterproof gloves are treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) to help water bead off the surface. Since this treatment eventually wears off over time, we recommend giving it a refresh now and then using an eco-friendly impregnation spray, commonly found at your local outdoor retailer. This should be done outside, following the instructions on the bottle.

Our GORE-TEX waterproof gloves are all leather gloves. They do not require a waterproofing treatment, however a conditioning treatment should be used after each wash to protect them from wear and moisture. We recommend doing this in the evening to allow the treatment to absorb overnight.

Tips

To best maintain the shape of your gloves, avoid turning them inside out while washing or drying.
